Custom Packaging Samples and Prototypes
Move from concept to an approved custom box sample with a manufacturer established in 2011, backed by 14 years of export experience and third-party-verified factory data.
Choose the Right Sample for Each Decision
Not every project needs the same level of prototyping. We recommend a sample based on what your team needs to approve—structure, visual design or the complete production specification.
We make an unprinted mock-up to check dimensions, assembly, closure and product fit before graphics and finishes are finalized.
- Internal and external dimensions
- Opening, closing and assembly
- Product orientation and insert fit
- Early structural refinement
We apply your artwork to a physical sample so your team can review layout, scale, color direction and presentation.
- Logo size and artwork position
- Copy, barcode and panel hierarchy
- Color and paper appearance
- Internal stakeholder approval
We build a detailed approval sample using the agreed structure, materials, insert and selected finishes wherever practical.
- Complete box and insert system
- Foil, embossing or lamination
- Fit, handling and presentation
- Physical production reference
Built Around Your Actual Product
Every category creates different fit, protection, presentation and labeling requirements. We focus each prototype on the decisions your team must validate before production.

Compare Our Custom Packaging Sample Stages
See how we move your packaging from a digital concept to an approved production benchmark. Compare the deliverable, validation purpose, supported box styles, available processes, quantities, lead time and approval requirements at each sampling stage.
| Sample Stage | Deliverable | Validation | Box Styles | Options & Processes | Quantity / MOQ | Lead Time | QC / Approval |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3D Mockup | We create a digital preview | We check layout, size, graphics | We support all box styles | We vary logo, color and size | Digital file; no MOQ | We quote after design review | We record the approved version |
| Structural Sample | We build an unprinted sample | We test fit, use and assembly | We sample rigid/folding boxes | We die-cut, V-groove and glue | We quote the sample quantity | We usually need 5–7 days | We approve the structure sample |
| Printed Prototype | We make a printed sample | We check artwork, color, finish | We sample magnetic/drawer boxes | We offer lamination, foil, print | We quote fees and quantity | We usually need 5–7 days | We record print approval notes |
| Pre-Production Sample | We make a final approval sample | We verify fit, finish and quality | We sample lid/base custom boxes | We apply all specified processes | Our bulk MOQ starts at 500 | We usually need 5–7 days | We set the production reference |
| Production Reference | We set the approved bulk standard | We control batch consistency | We use the approved box design | We run the full workflow | Our MOQ starts at 500 units | We usually need 20–30 days | We complete 14 QC stages |

From Brief to Approved Sample
A focused process with clear decisions and documented specifications at every stage.
1
Send product dimensions, weight, photos, box style, quantity, artwork and special requirements.
2
We confirm structure, material, insert, printing, finishes, sample scope, cost and timing.
3
We prepare the sample and check its structure, assembly, appearance and key dimensions.
4
You assess fit, opening, artwork and finishes; we record revisions for final approval.
What types of packaging samples do you provide?
We provide structural mock-ups, printed visual prototypes, material and finish swatches, insert and fit samples, production-ready approval samples and existing stock samples.
How long does a custom packaging sample take?
Our typical prototype lead time is 5–7 days, depending on structure, materials, artwork, finishes, insert and project complexity. Shipping time is additional.
How much does a packaging prototype cost?
Cost depends on structure, size, material, printing, finishes, insert and revisions. A nominal sample fee may apply and may be refundable after a confirmed order.
What information should I send?
Send product dimensions and weight, photos or a physical sample, preferred box style, target quantity, destination, artwork, material and finish preferences, insert requirements and any testing standards.
Can you develop from my existing box?
Yes. We offer sample-based and design-based development. Send clear photos and dimensions, or arrange to send a physical reference for review.
Can I test my actual product inside the prototype?
Yes, and we recommend it when fit and retention matter. We can work from verified dimensions, relevant 3D files or a physical product sample.
Will the prototype exactly match mass production?
The approved specification is the production target, but prototype methods can create minor differences in color, finish, tolerance or handmade details. We identify known limitations before sampling.
Can you provide child-resistant samples?
We can develop a child-resistant style prototype around your stated requirements. Compliance claims must be based on the exact structure, destination market and required testing.
Can I review materials before a full prototype?
Yes. We can discuss available papers and prepare relevant material or finish swatches where appropriate, helping you shortlist color, texture and special effects.
What happens after sample approval?
We record the approved structure, dimensions, materials, artwork, finishes and insert, then confirm the mass-production quotation and schedule.
